Cigna Health Information Interoperability Senior Advisor (Remote, Work at Home US) in Virtual, Missouri
Health Information Interoperability (HI2) is an enterprise initiative to provide timely access and sharing of health data to drive breakthrough improvements in quality & affordability of care, efficiency of care management and improved experiences of patients, providers, clients and employers.
The Health Information Interoperability Senior Advisor role plays an important role in design, alignment, and execution of the various capabilities needed to support Cigna’s health information interoperability. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for managing new channels built to exchange health data across the enterprise and with external vendors using industry standards and tech innovations in healthcare.
You will partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects and software delivery leadership to establish interoperability roadmaps that act as guides for achieving the long term strategic plans of the enterprise. In this role you will take on some of the toughest challenges facing our business and will act as a key consultant and guide in achieving our long-term strategy. You'll be responsible for gathering, structuring, and prioritizing product requirements from internal and external stakeholders to execute your roadmap across our deep technology stack to deliver industry-leading interoperability service at scale.
Serve as business product owner for enterprise-wide health information network.
Coordinate product management and delivery for Cigna, Express Scripts, Accredo, and EviCore.
Act as subject matter expert for key Standards Development Organizations and their products (i.e. NCPDP SCRIPT, HL7, FHIR, X12)
Translate the roadmap vision into solutions that solve our customers’ interoperability challenges in new and innovative ways
Collaborate with product management and engineering to ensure alignment of product release plans and execution to mid and long-term vision for the portfolio.
Contribute to, along with the product, engineering and user experience (UX) teams, making strategic design decisions and ensuring that overall functionality of the finished product delivers value and drives customer success
Work closely with other product owners (both within and across portfolios) to ensure integration requirements are successfully implemented
Preparation and delivery of presentations to customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Ability to influence by promoting ideas and proposals persuasively, and shape people's opinions

Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices, especially agile
Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5-8 years relevant experience in healthcare or product management
Knowledge of healthcare industry, health insurance, or PBM preferred
Experience implementing Health Information Networks, EMR, Claims and Clinical systems integration projects.
Deep expertise in industry standards organizations, preferably NCPDP and HL7, FHIR.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage work load to drive project deadlines and other team deliverables
Effective communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at various levels of management
Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required
Excellent communication skills, including presentations and documentation
Ability to work independently
Ability to travel 10-15%
