This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions

POSITION SUMMARY:

Works closely with business partners, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate security requirements into the configuration enabling role-based workflow and data security. Will serve as a subject matter expert across HCM Core module, as well as security, advising the project and functional teams on WorkDay best practice.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Workday Security Administration:
  2. Establish, maintain, review, and update security.
  3. Be familiar with the Workday configurable security model.
  4. Troubleshoot security needs in production for WorkDay environments.
  5. Responsible for access controls and controlling access to User Accounts.
  6. Responsible for Identity Management.
  7. Provides Support:
  8. Monitor system access.
  9. Understand access termination.
  10. Identify how new functionality will affect security configuration.
  11. Work with implementation partner and business users as required.
  12. Prepare and plan for Workday Feature Releases.
  13. Strategy:
  14. Participate in best practice and strategic development for solutions to improve the security posture and make recommendations to leadership.
  15. Prepare and plan for Workday Feature Releases.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technology or data discipline, plus five years relevant technology experience or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified in Workday HCM.
  • Preferred former certifications in additional modules.
  • Experience with Workday Security Administration for Finance and HCM.
  • Experience in large scale Workday deployments.
  • Five years relevant Workday implementation experience.
  • Proven skills in Office suite, specifically advanced is Excel and Access.
  • Team Skills: Supports teammates at all times and in any way necessary to maintain a productive, energetic, efficient and dynamic WashU IT team. Communicates effectively and frequently both verbally and in writing with other members of the team. Collaborates with other teammates to provide assistance, and expertise, as well as to receive expert input and assistance from others delivering the best solution and experience for the customer.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to quickly and effectively adapt to technologies outside of current experience.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Engaged in continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures.
  • Ability to consult with clients and higher-level technicians and analysts to resolve technical problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to interact with customers to discuss alternative technical solutions.
  • Ability to work with only minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new circumstances.
  • Ability to work extra hours and recognize the need to do so.
  • Ability to adjust scheduled time.
  • Ability to adjust to change and demands on time.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
