Position Summary:

As the healthcare industry transforms to value based care models focused on outcomes and quality-of-care instead of fees paid for specific actions, new approaches are required for information management, data analytics, care provider coordination and collaboration, and patient engagement. As a Senior Product Manager joining the Product & Solutions team at Lumeris, you will be part of a team of professionals seeking to transform health care by developing, delivering, and continuously improving population health management systems and services provided on a turnkey basis to health systems, payers, and providers seeking to transition to value based care delivery.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for managing solutions leveraging existing and in house developed technologies and tools to provide optimum support of the service lines executed by our Operations team.

The Senior Product Manager will need to:

  • Understand the company vision and strategy and articulate it to prospective partners

  • Work strategically across portfolios and product lines

  • Craft capabilities that will be used by many teams

  • Work with cross-functional groups and disciplines both inside and outside Lumeris

  • Be a subject matter expert – answer questions and resolve issues of multiple types including technical, commercial, legal, usability and process

  • Have prior knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the operational details of operating a Medicare Advantage health plan in a Value Based Care model

  • For this role, prior experience in Health Plan Operations is strongly desired. Expertise in Claims Processing, Broker Enablement or Enrollment Processing is preferred

  • This is one of several population health ecosystem domain areas served by dedicated teams.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES:

The Senior Product Manager will be part of a team comprised of a product leader, other product managers, business analysts, and domain specialists responsible for the creation, delivery, and continuous improvement of product and service offerings for the domain identified above. The team is accountable for (1) creating and maintaining the strategic vision for their assigned domain; (2) translating that vision into defined pragmatic, executable program, product, and service deliverables; (3) driving execution and delivery of defined offerings through collaboration with other marketing, program management, product development, and sales resources; (4) pursuing continuous improvement in the success and quality of released offerings.

The Senior Product Manager serves the team by providing subject matter knowledge and the process expertise needed to convert raw ideas into vetted concepts and approved executable programs, and is accountable for driving this process. The Senior Product Manager works in close collaboration with product leader and other team members to execute the following actions and activities.

  • Analyze/monitor market conditions, industry and technology trends, and competitive offerings, and understand their impact on Lumeris offerings

  • Identify opportunities, user needs, and define value propositions

  • Determine product requirements and develop user scenarios and stories

  • Define product strategy, structure, competitive positioning, packaging, and pricing

  • Develop business plans and determine implementation resource requirements

  • Define and own go-to-market strategy

  • Manage concepts through organizational approval process needed for resourcing

  • Coordinate with development to assure integrity of product concept and delivery of target value proposition

  • Manage transfer of knowledge to other organizational units (sales, support, marketing, operations) including related tools and artifacts (user documentation, training manuals, support forums)

  • Collaborate in development of sales tools, marketing collateral, and promotional material

  • Monitor customer, market, and user feedback and response

  • Evangelize vision and benefits of offerings across the organization

  • Develop strategies and programs to remove adoption barriers

  • Develop plans for continuous improvement in product quality and feature sets

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Healthcare Industry experience

  • Ability to set, prioritize, and meet aggressive goals and deadlines

  • Experience working with diverse teams, external clients, and managing multiple and concurrent projects

  • Proficient at listening and responding to client feedback with an eye towards innovating workflows

  • Ability to organize and distill information from multiple sources into a scheduled and actionable development plan

  • Ability to work within a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Software As A Service (SAAS) product experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or business-related field

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of product management and data tools experience

  • Prior experience leading diverse teams, external clients, and multiple concurrent projects

  • Financial and/or Provider and Network Contracting experience

  • Prior experience launching a product or service offering into the market place

Preferred:

  • Healthcare Industry experience working within a health insurance payer organization
