Position Summary

This position is accountable for overseeing ongoing operational support and migration of Energizer’s SAP Master Data for Products (Materials) including manufacturing related master data. This key member of Energizer’s Information Technology team has primary responsibility for ensuring successful execution as well as the management, measurement and improvement of Data Migration and Data Quality in collaboration with the Global Master Data Governance to achieve SAP data migration and Data quality objectives of the product related master data objects. This position is also responsible for ensuring the SAP best practices are being followed during the execution of migration. The candidate for this role must have deep experience with SAP Data Tools and Technologies. (LSMW, Win Shuttle, SLT), and full understanding of data structures and business functions which are impacted.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Facilitate mapping with business function as well as IT functional lead, of business logic into techno-functional pseudo code rules to be used in developing ETL.

  • Manage overall communication, review and sign off processes with business functions as well as IT functional leads.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute data transformation tools and expertise to identify duplicates, ensure data consistency by applying rules and reformatting data

  • Build requirements for, develop, and enhance automated processes that business areas with data and information.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of programs, summarize, and provide data to enhance future efforts using suitable methods.

  • Document, monitor and proactively recommend improvement to processes and control related to area responsibilities while quantifying the impact of changes for leaders

  • Design, develop, validate, and deliver comprehensive reporting services based on business specifications.

  • Recommend and implement procedural and data flow changes to increase the accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency of products and services delivered by Data services team.

  • Ensure and enhance data quality by training users to ensure continuity of results

  • Provide creative yet logical approaches to solving data problems utilizing established global and regulatory rules

  • Participate and provide support for continuous improvement projects involving material and manufacturing master data.

Required Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field

  • Ten years or more of IT experience

  • SAP Master data experience at expert level in Material Master, Classification, BOMs, Routings & Production Versions etc.

  • Intermediate level knowledge of relevant Transactional data and Financial modules (Planned Orders, Production Orders, etc).

  • Experience with SAP MDM, MDG

  • Able to perform mass loads of master and transactional data using effective and reusable automated processes and procedures using LSMW, BDC and Winshuttle.

  • Solid understanding of relational databases and non relational databases

  • Experience working with Relation databases like Oracle, Teradata or equivalent

  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new technologies and contribute to the delivery of IT solutions.

  • Ability of understanding user requirements and translation of those user requirements into pseudo code.

  • Experience working on multiple projects and support simultaneously.

  • Experience working with Data quality and building new rules, KPIs and dashboards

  • Experience in Automating and scheduling jobs

  • Experience in end to end testing of application.

  • Experience working as an individual or with a team to perform day to day activities

  • Experience working in production support.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Willing to take initiative to identify and help drive continuous improvements internally within the team.

  • Ability to provide thought leadership and engage effectively with multiple levels of business stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, including presenting concisely and writing complex functional specifications that are understood by IT and non-IT audiences

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or MBA

  • Experience with Winshuttle and GUI scripting

  • Experience with S/4 and HANA enterprise

  • Technical knowledge of SAP database tables and relationships

  • Reports to Sr. Manager, SAP Data Lead

  • Master Data Governance Team

  • Key relationships internally will include the global IT Directors, Analytics Team.

  • Procurement

  • IT Managed Services Vendor organizations

  • Located in St. Louis, MO corporate headquarters.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Work schedule may vary from typical business hours.
