Space and Layout Optimization Manager
This role will be responsible for analyzing efficiency and capacity of a warehouse given its current footprint, MHE and staffing resources. They will perform analysis of resources to define the maximum throughputs and capacity that can be realized under the current operating configurations. The incumbent will identify constraints limiting a facility and propose solutions to mitigate such constraints. The incumbent will use multiple planning, layout and simulation software programs to design and stress test possible solutions before communicating a recommendation. The incumbent will be responsible for multiple aspects of the project lifecycle from prioritization, planning and budgeting through design, implementation and transition to BAU.
In addition to facility setup the role will be responsible to develop customized product slotting layouts to minimize congestion and reduce time required to fulfill orders!
An ideal candidate will be familiar with the AB Operations and Solutions organizations and understand systems used by logistics and supply chain operations with familiarity of source data systems and integration methods.
Familiar with warehousing concepts and operating standard methodologies
Promotes a safe work environment and consider safety related implication of all recommendations provided for a facility
Strong project management skills
Able to collaborate across multiple levels of project partners
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good interpersonal skills; able tailor the message for an intended audience
Well-polished presentation skills-experience addressing all levels of senior management.
Proficient in analyzing and cleansing data
Make recommendations based upon cost-benefit analysis
2 Years warehouse operations experience
2 Years Solutions, Technology or Systems Implementation Experience
Facilities planning; greenfield and brownfield scenarios
Experience leading a project or technology through the AB Solution architecture and data security approval processes
AutoCAD software experience
CLASS or other simulation software
Slotting Software experience; Slot 3D strongly preferred
Data Visualization; PowerBI Preferred
Familiarity with SQL Server
Preferable Educational Backgrounds
Industrial Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management
