IBM ServiceNow Senior Architect in St Louis, Missouri


As an IBM ServiceNow Certified Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM ServiceNow Senior Architect will lead Technical Solution aspect of ServiceNow implementations specific to: design, solution architecture, functional implementation and evaluation of Client's Enterprise Service Management Ecosystem. Recommend and create ServiceNow Design/Build/Manage solutions in terms of scope, size, resourcing, timeline for configuration and administration of ServiceNow tool in conjunction with other methods and tool in the eco-system.

Demonstrate expertise in overall ServiceNow Platform and product lines in IT, HR and Customer Workflows. Lead business / functional discussions with the client and internal teams (design, build, test teams). The position involves providing over all technical leadership for the team and ensuring that all designs created by the team is aligned to the architecture principles of ServiceNow and should be reusable, reliable and adaptive. The role also will provide a technical gateway between the initial designs agreed in the sales conversations through to the delivery cycles with the project managers, business analysts, solution architects and developers.

They work within larger pursuit teams, actively managing the engagement process, driving project milestones, status reviews and other meetings. They will spend time interacting with clients and other key stakeholders, as appropriate to the requirements, level of solution experience and skill. They must understand the deal, the client's priorities, business and technical requirements, issues and tactical problems. They use their project management experience to manage work on multiple engagements at one time balancing their schedules to meet the commitment dates and other deliverables for the deal. Turnaround time/cycle time is a critical factor in engagement schedules and work needs to be performed quickly and with high quality.


This role involves being an expert techno-functional leader, guiding customers through the most complex and demanding ServiceNow implementations. The ServiceNow Master Architect will support a broad range of functional areas, including stakeholder management, handling deliverable development, data management and the creation of weekly presentations. You will work directly with internal stakeholders and manage their requirements as well.

  • Engage in proposals response life cycle as ServiceNow technical solution lead

  • Understand customer needs and requirements

  • Draft solutions (Design/Build/Manage) defining scope & estimations, staffing plan, timelines, assumptions & dependencies, costing, RACI & SOW assistance, etc

  • Incorporate IBM best practices and accelerators to complement ServiceNow modules

  • Clearly articulate IBM Value add and differentiator in every solution

  • Progress the solution through internal reviews and approval cycles

  • Deliver presentations, proposals and quotes

  • When appropriate, perform effective online demos during Client orals

  • Maintain currency of Solution estimation models

  • Lead Technical aspects of ServiceNow implementations projects.

  • Provide technical guidance during workshops and assists in the creation and refinement of stories.

  • Configures the ServiceNow platform during sprints while sharing knowledge and best practices with Platform Administrators.

  • Design and communicate a Technical Architecture Blueprint based on Capability and Process Implementation Roadmaps aligning to desired Business outcomes

  • Work in conjunction with Program Directors and Engagement Managers to assist with technical program level activities including the rollout of client centre of excellence (COE), delivery assurance and realization of customer journey. This may include time as a resident architect for strategic clients

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10-12+ years total IT work experience with BS Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in selling and delivering ServiceNow solutions across multiple products – ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SAM, GRC, Security, CSM, HRSD, Portal etc.,

  • Attained highest level ServiceNow certifications at-least two product certifications

  • 5+ years of ServiceNow implementation hands-on experience in at least two product lines, preferably IT and HR

  • Good understanding of marketing leading Automation, AI, ML and Virtual Agent products including IBM (eg., Watson)

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions

  • Ability to work collaboratively with [Practice Leader/Go-To-Market Leader] and 3rd party Channel Business Partners including ServiceNow Professional Services

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Certified/ Enrolled in Master Architect (preferred) program

  • Experience in developing industry solutions using ServiceNow

  • 5-8 years of ServiceNow Implementations & Certifications across processes

  • 3-5 years of expertise in ServiceNow Implementation Methodology

  • Architect Certification in any latest technology
