Cigna Senior Mobile Product Designer, Product Strategy Advisor in St. Louis, Missouri

Position Summary

A Senior Mobile Product Designer is a thought leader, strategist and craftsman/woman at Cigna and key to achieving our mission to improve the lives of the 80+ million people we serve.

As part of the native mobile app team, you will join a cross functional team, in a fast paced, dynamic agile environment. Together the team owns all aspects of the 4.7 star rated Express Scripts iOS and Android apps.

Designers at Cigna are equal parts strategists, technologists, culture carriers and craftsmen/women. Your role will include influencing the product roadmap with the objective of simplifying the healthcare experience for patients and adding value back to the business. Day to day, you will ensure experience strategy is faithfully executed and delivered to our members.

The Hats You'll Wear

As a Mobile Designer, you will collaborate up and down within the organization to define and accomplish experience team goals. You will participate in strategy and planning sessions, then transition into execution mode to bring them to life faithfully.

You will be aware of and follow mobile design best practices, elevate our product solutions and craft, and prioritize high impact work that ultimately improves patients lives and the healthcare industry as a whole.

You will be obsessed with creating modern, intuitive and differentiated interfaces that patients love, meet business objectives, are on brand and establish a new bar in the healthcare industry.

You will understand the possibilities and limitations of current technologies, while always having an eye to what’s next. You will work well with developers and other technical partners to successfully translate UX vision and strategy to pixel perfect live products.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping mobile apps in a fast paced startup, mid-size company or within a Fortune 500 company. Although this role is digitally focused, you will be sensitive to and understand the role of IVR, retail, print and packaging within cross channel customer journeys and how they impact the users end to end experience.

You will keep business, product and engineering stakeholders informed of user experience requirements, holding all parties involved to a high standard of quality. You will share and socialize UX best practices and trends and help your team understand how their work relates to business outcomes.

You must be a craftsman/woman that can bring your vision to life through POC’s, and influence the hearts and minds of challenging stakeholders.

  • Envision state of the art solutions and identify new opportunities to improve user productivity in partnership with fellow Designers, Product Owners, and Business.

  • Conceptualize, create and design end-to-end user experiences for products with wireframes, user journeys, prototypes, and visual design.

  • Create high fidelity designs and prototypes for native mobile applications.

  • Collaborate and partner with research team on user tests, content tests, persona creation, and various other research initiatives.

  • Participate in brainstorming, white-board, and team design share sessions.

  • Make recommendations based on data, research, and design expertise.

  • Ability to articulate and present creative concepts and designs team, management, product owners and business partners.

  • Ability to take feedback/direction and to work enthusiastically, respectfully, and collaboratively with other team members.

  • Advanced knowledge of Sketch and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  • Proficient prototyping with Invision, Craft and other modern design tools.

  • Experience working within a design system.

  • Experience with animation and motion frameworks.

  • Passionate about human-centered design (HCD).

  • A/B Testing experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred. (e.g., User Experience Design, Service Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction.

  • 4-6+ years as a UX or product designer.

  • 3-5+ years designing for native mobile applications, iOS and Android.

  • Experience working in an agile environment, with the ability to adapt the process for design.

  • Portfolio featuring native mobile app experience required.
