Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Director End User Services oversees and leads the AIS Service Desk and Collaboration Services organizations for AIS customers.


  • Develops organizationally-aligned strategic goals, plans and standards consistent with the technological, clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements and objectives

  • Drives business transformation with an eye toward a better customer experience, automation, standardization, reduction of waste, and increased efficiency

  • Establishes and monitors clearly defined key performance indicators for all End User Services operations and personnel to ensure operational readiness for healthcare operations and provide great customer service

  • Provides leadership for the national AIS Service Desk and Collaboration Services organizations

  • Ensures fiscal responsibility by leading the development of and tracking adherence to budgets rooted in stewardship, increasing efficiencies, and value.

  • Oversees and ensures compliance with internal and external audits.

  • Leads the level 1 end user support strategy for production systems and development of transition plans for systems moving from development to production support

  • Leads change management and cultural transformation as needed

  • Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives

  • Develops and strengthens positive business relationships with key internal partners and significant external partners

  • Makes sound judgements escalating issues and outages appropriately

  • Leads by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and building strong relationships

Complexity of Work:

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience required.

  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 3 Years Required Technical Experience.

  • 5 Years Preferred Technical Experience.

  • 1 Year Preferred Leadership/Mgmt Experience.

  • Ten years in a healthcare information technology leadership role preferred.
