World Wide Technology Python Developer - Virtual Office in St. Louis, Missouri

The following knowledge skills and attributes are required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience using Python.

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Proven development experience of RESTful APIs and/or full-stack applications using a Python web framework such as: Django, Flask, etc.

  • Experience with the automated build process (continuous integration) and source code version control tools (GIT and/or SVN).

  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following Python testing frameworks: unittest or pytest.

  • Experience using software development processes such as TDD, pair programming and other XP practices.

  • Experience with multiple operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.

  • Ability to work in an agile environment.

  • Critical thinker with the ability to breakdown complex technical requirements.

  • Familiar with integrating with data sources such as MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

  • Be willing to work on a variety of project types (Desktop, Web, Mobile) and programming languages (JavaScript, C#, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Erlang, Python, etc.) as needed.

  • 10% Travel: While the role will be fully remote (5-days a week), there will be a requirement for occasional travel to either WWT offices or client sites.

  • Candidates would be expected to work from home or other remote work environment.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that you have a work space that is suitable and appropriate for a full day of collaborative work. Sufficient space for you to work, including space for a computer, monitor and video conferencing equipment.

  • High Speed Internet access with sufficient speed/bandwidth to enable frequent video calls. The equipment will be provided for you and the cost of high-speed internet will be subsidized.

The following knowledge skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Experience with other development languages.

  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture technologies and/or implementations.

  • Experience with HTML and DOM manipulation using JavaScript or Single Page Applications.
