Cigna Program Management Advisor - Rebates Optimization in St. Louis, Missouri
This position is responsible for continued review of additions, changes or deletions to client clinical rules and determination of their impact on client rebate eligibility. Will perform annual review of all clients to determine control positioning based on provided criteria. Assure files are uploaded appropriately to the FRP rebate system timely.
Works under minimal supervision, through established procedures, to ensure appropriate assessment of client clinical rules impacting rebate eligible products. Recommends resolution of identified issues during assessment as well as efficiency process improvements. Identify deficiencies and work with Manager/Supervisor to determine corrective actions as needed.
Work cross-functionally with Pharma Contracting, Clinical Account Executives and Pharma Invoicing to ascertain appropriate interpretation of clinical rules and impacts on rebated drug products
Continuously interrogate Clinical Rules System database for additions, changes or deletions to client clinical rules with impacts to rebate eligible products. Work with manager when new rules are identified to determine appropriate interpretation of the clinical rule impact on rebates
Work with externally adjudicated clients and account management to assure all custom formulary rules not housed within Express Scripts systems are received and populated within control tables. Assure new rules identified are appropriately interpreted for rebate impact and then added to tables for future rebating
Consolidate clinical rules with impacts to rebate drug products to a single list of assigned ids for upload and utilization within the FRS rebate system.
Other duties as deemed essential by business to support rebates optimization process
BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
5-8 years relevant experience; Related work experience in PBM, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare industry preferred
Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required.
Effective communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at all levels of management.
Knowledge of ESI’s products and services preferred. Experience with client benefits and formularies highly preferred. Understanding of and experience with quality and process improvement concepts, methodologies.
Requires experience in business analysis and production testing. Demonstrated self-initiative.
Proven ability to plan for and integrate multiple tasks concurrently as well as work independently.
