IBM is looking for a qualified and high-energy Professional Services Sr. Consultant. This is a team-oriented position with responsibility to our largest customers and with strong potential for growth and overachievement. We are seeking candidates who enjoy a fast-paced environment with multi-role responsibilities, and who bring a lot of enthusiasm to the job. This is a business-consulting role working with strategic customers and has central importance to our ongoing success as a company.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manage and deliver enterprise implementation projects with our largest and most strategic customers

  • Ensure long-term adoption for customers, support organizational change and generate business value in a short timeline

  • Deliver business analysis and solutions engineering – work closely with our customer champions to understand in detail the use cases and business processes, and define and implement the solutions in IBM

  • Prepare technical objectives – identify and describe key goals and provide the work processes to achieve these goals

  • Engage with customers and other parties to develop system design, functional and technical specifications to meet customer functionality, reporting, customization and integration requirements

  • Serve as the software expert and product specialist, aiming to solve customer business challenges

  • Engage closely with and provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering regarding customers’ unmet product needs

  • Expert knowledge of various software development process models and with procedural and object-oriented programming concepts.

  • Knowledge of build systems and software development tools

Required Behavioral Attributes:

  • Experience on Business consulting relating to Inventory Management or Materials and Reliability

  • Experience tracing and troubleshooting technology

  • Must Have Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate customer requirements, objectives, and technical IT drivers to the company’s professional services, support and technical services organizations

  • Decisive, resourceful and innovative, with demonstrated success at developing and implementing original ideas

  • High energy and the ability to focus on measurable results

  • Desire to work within a fast paced, start-up organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 7+ years of Inventory Management and/or Materials and Reliability industry experience

  • 7+ years professional services / technology consulting / sales engineering experience with focus in software / IT in enterprise customers (SAP, Oracle, Maximo)

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 15+ years of Inventory Management and/or Materials and Reliability industry experience

  • 15+ years professional services / technology consulting / sales engineering experience with focus in software / IT in enterprise customers (SAP, Oracle, Maximo)
