Our Privacy & Security Consultant/Analyst is responsible for day-to-day functions of corporate privacy incident Program to include the coordination of processes used by the Privacy Office to identify, analyze, respond and recover from privacy incidents in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations and contractual obligations.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: working with privacy responders to appropriately and timely respond to incidents, compiling data analytics for reporting to executive management, coordinating process improvement initiatives gleaned from incident response, development of procedures, tools and guidance. Coordinates pre and post incident response and review including root cause analysis and lessons learned processes. Communicates with company key business partners, regulatory agencies and other company affiliates to retrieve and/or provide guidance. Maintains strict compliance to time frames to avoid fines and penalties. Compiles incident reports from outside entities and ensures timely processing and follow-up. Participates in the quality monitoring review process for incident reporting and processing. Records and maintains PHI incidents/violations by the company and/or business partners. Prepares reporting for Executive Leadership and Privacy Business units. Assists Corporate Privacy in conducting research and collecting data to perform root cause analysis.
Requires a BA/BS degree, 5 years health plan or healthcare privacy related experience, 3 years of operations experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. For the Consultant level role, a Master's degree is preferred.
