IBM Offering Content Specialist in St Louis, Missouri

Introduction

As a Worldwide Services Offering Content Specialist in IBM Infrastructure Services you will have the opportunity to shape and transform the seller and client experience of discovering, exploring and consuming IBM Infrastructure Services to accelerate business transformation through our client’s journey to cloud.

You are the type of person who is passionate about staying up-to-date on the latest digital developments and trends and delivering innovative and impactful digital experiences and content. To be successful, you must be highly motivated, detail-oriented and a self-starter with a strong business acumen who knows how to get things done at big companies through influence, collaboration and partnering effectively across functional areas. In addition, you must have expertise in technical content development, optimization and management, with an emphasis on leveraging digital channels to deliver dynamic content in a fast-paced environment. A strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and manage a complex workload are essential.

You will be located at our North Castle NY, Austin TX or Raleigh NC facility and will work with teams are located in the US, Europe and India. Occasional travel to those or other locations may be required.

Who you are:

• Individuals in this role will be responsible for creating or sourcing and executing compelling, original content for communications to key seller audiences.

• The right candidate must have the ability to strategize and develop communications content that is engaging across multiple media – email, blog, community, IBM internal social media, etc.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Candidates will aggressively seek out and source or develop new content, data and client success stories and sample use cases to be delivered in engaging and relevant ways to potential and existing customers.

  • The candidate will work across the Offering Experience & Design, Offering Management and Marketing teams to ensure hi-fidelity content fits the current and future state of IBM Infrastructure Services.

  • Work with subject matter experts to identify, design and deliver enablement programs, training and education through the development and delivery of e.g.: Online learning modules, Virtual calls and webinars, and client-ready assets such as blogs, articles, infographics and presentation materials

  • Actively listen to and understand the IBM Infrastructure Services business strategy and translate to actionable, tactical enablement and communications strategy requirements

  • Develop metrics against success and gaps in business, measure and report on participation rates

  • Prepare and deliver surveys and response channels to capture essential feedback required to improve future enablement materials and delivery

  • Develop, curate, and communicate an archive of enablement collateral, webinars, and recorded calls for easy access by IBM stakeholders

  • Act as an evangelist and presenter at events and strategic internal/external meetings

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Ability to influence others

  • Effective program management, time management, and administration skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be an independent self-starter with the ability to think creatively, collaborate effectively and overcome obstacles, managing projects to meet deadlines with minimal oversight and direction

  • Identify required enablement to progress and close sales skills gaps

  • Familiarity with IBM business units, e.g., GTS, GBS, Global Markets and Channels

  • Demonstrate empathy towards the learning process and the job of a technology seller

  • Time flexibility and cultural sensitivity and awareness – IBM is a global company and from time to time, this role will require active work during non-traditional working hours, and with people from other cultures

  • Use of enterprise tools, e.g., Lighthouse, Events & Classes, Smarter, Slack, Box, Webex, Trello, SurveyMonkey, Knovio

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Sales, Services and/or consulting experience with cloud services knowledge

  • Experience in sales training, education, curriculum planning

  • Experience in learning development

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated organization skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work well independently or within a team, particularly cross-functional teams
