Your Role and Responsibilities
The Network Consultant role is in our Technology and Architecture Consulting Practice. This position is for experts with direct experience in Network Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with customers to assess their network infrastructure requirements
Evaluate the current network environment’s ability to meet the organizations IT and business requirements
Assess networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet connections, intranets, and other data communications systems
Assess the networks security and performance
Develop a future state vision and roadmap for any new network infrastructure requirements to meet IT and business needs, improve performance, and productivity
Identify areas where efficiencies can be optimized to help minimize cost, reduce risks, and improve performance
Develop use Case Prioritization, ROI, and Business Case analysis
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3-5+ years network consulting services experience
Deep experience with consulting methods and approaches for conducting assessment, strategy, and TCO/ROI services
Experience with state of the market network technologies including basic route/switch networks, software defined networks (SDN/SDWAN)
Knowledge of network technologies and architecture
Knowledge of network security
Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements
Superb organizational and time management skills
Deep business and industry acumen
Ability to interact with multiple levels of client management including C levels
Able to work in a team environment, although expected to independently focus on a specific area
Open minded and considerate of multiple points of view
Contribute to the development and capture of intellectual capital
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in consulting on 5G and edge capabilities
Professional Architecture Certifications including Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA Network certification
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
