Job Description

World Wide Technology, LLC (WWT) currently has a lab services architect position available on the ATC Lab Services Team. In this role the architect will partner with WWT filed engineers to develop test cases, design, build, and execute according to customers specifications. Potential candidates will require a deep understanding of route/switch technologies, in Campus/Branch and/or Data Center networking. In addition to having a deep technical understanding of routing and switching, this candidate will need to be able to navigate complex lab environments that contain network, compute, storage, application load-balancing, and security components.

Responsibility of this position is to scope potential lab request, proposed architectures, and design/facilitate lab environments relative to outlined test cases.


  • Review and provide SME level expertise for Proof of Concepts (POC and Lab as a Service (LaaS) specifically focused in network-based opportunities.

  • Actively participate and lead in the lab opportunities through different phases such as Scoping, Building, Execution, Teardown, and Archiving.

  • Support a wide range of technologies and multi-OEM integration labs from a technical perspective.

  • Develop new and maintain existing documentation while following all process and procedure within the process standards.

  • Act as a liaison to other WWT Teams inside/outside of the ATC.

Other responsibilities would be to communicate and collaborate effectively with project team and be open to working in a very dynamic environment.



  • CCIE certification or equivalent work experience is required

  • Experience configuring and deploying enterprise-class networks, including the following products:

  • Cisco

  • F5, A10, Citrix, and AVI Application Delivery Controllers

  • VMware

  • Arista Networking

  • Viptela

  • Palo Alto

  • Sound organizational, time management and teamwork skills are required

  • Excellent documentation and Visio skills

  • Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience providing technical training

  • Experience with network testing methodology

  • Export ability to work across and transcend teams to reach a positive outcome

  • Expert ability well as rigor and discipline around documentation of work

  • Experience with customer Proof of Concept (preferred)

  • Programming experience (preferred)
