Bayer IT Security Engineering Lead in St. Louis, Missouri

The Climate Corporation is looking for a Security Engineering Lead who will be responsible for safeguarding information system assets by identifying and solving security problems, managing large complex projects, investigating areas of ambiguity, align security technology with business needs, define and document security standards, be able to communicate at all levels of the organization, and oversee Security products used within the Climate Organization, including building, customizing, and maintaining security products. This position will work with IT, CSO, and other Engineering staff to implement and maintain Security infrastructure that meets company and regulatory compliance initiatives. The Security Engineering Lead will also serve as a technical Security expert and support other Security resources in their tasks.
What You Will Do:
Secures Climate information by planning, implementing, and testing security systems; preparing and updating security procedures; mentoring team members.
Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements; recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations
Proactively identify areas for improvement and possible solutions
Develop Security Standards and Standard Operating Procedures based on high-level Security Policies
Identifies security violations, deficiencies, and inefficiencies through periodic audits and regular monitoring. Ensures authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programs; recommending improvements
Mentor a team of Security Engineers and Analysts
Builds and upgrades systems to implement, and maintain security controls
Provide oversight and management of Managed Service Providers where services and/or tools have been outsourced
Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
Analyzes access by utilizing logs, termination and transfer tickets, automated ID status reports, user ID validation, and user behavior analytics to summarize access trends and find anomalies
B.S. degree in Security, Engineering, or Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years experience in a leadership role within Information Technology or Security
9+ years overall IT/Security experience
Splunk query and reporting experience, or equivalent experience with log aggregation and reporting tool
Experience with Administration of Forcepoint DLP and EMail Gateway or equivalent tools
Relevant IT/ cybersecurity certification is desired, such as GIAC, CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, etc.
Experience with Server, Infrastructure, and Endpoint configuration settings
Working background in Network and/or Infrastructure Security
Knowledge of Cloud Security Concepts
Proven understanding and application of Vulnerability Management
Understanding of Incident Response and application of process.
Proven understanding of Identity and Access Management
