MDD is looking for a Help Desk IT Technician to work in our St. Louis office and serve as an essential supporting function. The ideal candidate will have a sound technical background in computers and networking, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to employee issues

  • Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources

  • Walk employees through problem solving process

  • Follow up with employees, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution

  • Utilize excellent employee service skills and exceed employee expectation

  • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of issues

  • Preserve and grow your knowledge of help desk procedures, products and service

  • Inform management of recurring problems or issues

  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates

  • Help users troubleshoot and solve problems to the extent of ability, handle ongoing technology-related requests, such as new workstations, printers, components (monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.), new workstation setup (phone and PC)

Requirements

  • Associates Degree

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Must have demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Possess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinker

  • Working knowledge of help desk software, databases and remote control and fundamental operations of relevant hardware and other equipment

  • Proven working experience in providing help desk support preferably in a managed IT environment

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills along with server, desktop, notebook implementation experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
