Main Function of Job

The Cyber Threat Analysis OM has global responsibilities for defining and executing a business and product strategy to accelerate IBM’s market share in the Cyber Threat market. This includes all elements of market understanding, competitive intelligence and development of product/solution positioning and go-to-market strategies for i2 and integration across the IBM Security portfolio.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a business and product strategy based on a deep understanding of the Cyber Threat market and customer needs.

  • Define and evangelize key use cases which drive product adoption and understanding, in addition to product evolution to meet the needs of cyber analysts. A primary focus will be integration of i2 solutions with other IBM Security tools and SIEM’s.

  • Develop core positioning, value propositions benefit statements, product and marketing messages for Cyber Threat offerings. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure proper marketing material for clients, partners and field sales organizations are available to best articulate value and return on investment for clients.

  • Define and execute all related packaging and pricing of products aligned to market needs.

  • Lead a cross functional matrixed team of marketing, sales, services, engineering, support and pricing representatives to ensure business and product strategy execution is tightly coordinated to support Cyber Threat offerings.

  • Work closely with broader IBM organizations such as IBM Security SOAR OM’s, IBM Security Services, IBM Analytics and IBM Information Management to leverage industry leading IBM capabilities to strengthen Cyber Threat products and solutions.

  • Subject matter expert and spokesperson to internal audiences such as sales and services teams and external audiences such as customers, partners, analysts and press.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong product and/or business management experience of Cyber threat software solutions (5+ years)

  • Deep industry knowledge of Cyber intelligence, Cyber security, Intelligence analysis in government and commercial sectors. Understanding of relationships and technologies used across the SOC, Incident Response, Physical security and Fraud teams in an organization.

  • Strong practitioner knowledge of cyber analysts, skills and use cases a cyber analyst is trying to achieve

  • Understanding of i2 technology and value proposition in cyber domain

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to express complex business and technical concepts in simple forms of value proposition to clients and sellers

  • Ability to translate market understanding into detailed use cases and product requirements to influence the i2 products and integration with other Security products such as Qradar/Splunk, Watson Advisor and Resilient.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Ability to collaborate/lead across multi-discipline teams (Sales, Services, Marketing etc) to further penetration in the market and drive successful cyber projects

  • Ability to translate technical value into business value

  • Familiarity with enterprise software systems and their deployment

  • Prior product management experience

  • Direct analyst practitioner experience in government and private sector context

  • Understanding/experience of agile/iterative software development method, Design Thinking, Pragmatic Marketing
