The Role: Field Service Technician
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, our Technicians are the face of Seegrid that provide exceptional on-site customer care and timely resolutions. You will provide support to the robotic powered industrial vehicles installed at customer sites located across the country. While this role requires you to be on the front-line, you will have some of the best minds in engineering, robotics and customer support behind you. Core Responsibility for this role:
The Field Service Technician will provide support to the robotic powered industrial vehicles installed at customer sites located across the country
The successful completion of your first year, looks like:
Within your first 30 days, you will have completed the onboarding process at Seegrid HQ and have established a knowledge foundation for trucks systems, troubleshooting, interfacing software and AMR route training.
Within your first qtr, you will have completed Tier 1 corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance visits under the guidance of more senior Technicians. You will start to take on calls for day-to-day routine maintenance more independently. You will independently record you work using Salesforce and Field Service Lightening.
By your 6th month, you will have established a level of comfortability to take on more complex troubleshooting for AMR side issues as well as application based issues. You will be familiar with the process and escalate to you Supervisor and potentially teams outside of Field Operations to seek out an efficient, holistic resolution. You are familiar with each of the customers within your region and are comfortable maintaining the customer service relationship with those sites.
By the completion of your first year, you will have experienced multiple types of service calls and understand the best initial approaches to take to root cause an issue and resolve. You are comfortable in your region and establish service appointments and routine maintenance independently. You will continually refine your knowledge base with the latest software and hardware releases.
Responsibilities will consist of:
Possess a unique combination of hands-on problem solving, analytical thinking and a customer-service spirit
Manage and conduct all on-site troubleshooting, repair and testing tasks for powered industrial trucks, robotic and vision guided systems
Partner with Seegrid Support, Engineering and Customer Success teams to provide the best possible resolution to customer concerns
Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing dynamic environment
Coach customer staff on safety, operation and maintenance best practices
Maintain detailed daily record keeping and reporting, including resolutions implemented, records of time, expenses and materials
Remain prepared for customer service calls which most likely require travel on short notice
Take ownership on-going skill development be engaging in regular product and software trainings
Associates degree in electrical/mechanical technology, or at least 3 years of experience in related field
Ability to work long hours in noisy and busy environments
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Strong customer interface with commitment to customer satisfaction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good technical knowledge of Windows; proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally and maintain a clean driving record - Passport is required
Must be a highly responsible individual who can work independently and with minimal supervision
Linux experience is a strong plus
