The Boeing Company F-22 OFP Build Mid-Level Software Engineer in St Louis, Missouri
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an F-22 OFP Build Mid-Level Software Engineer to join the F-22 Operational Flight Program (OFP) Build team located in Berkeley, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about designing, developing, and automating our software development and production build processes. We need a candidate with excellent judgment and strong communication skills to help define the roadmap to redesign our build environment. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, excel in a collaborative culture, have strong communication skills, and work well in a dynamic environment with often-changing delivery priorities.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, documents and maintains requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software build systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software to enable building components into a fully functional software system
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure proper execution of the software build system
Performs software project management and software supplier management functions for system level software builds
Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics for the build system Executes and documents software research and development projects to transition the current subsystem build environment is automated
Tracks and evaluates system level build to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
Works under general direction
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).
Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start)
2+ years’ experience with at least one high level languages such as Java, C#, or C/C++ 2+ years’ experience with at least one scripting language such as python, ruby or perl
2+ years’ experience in software development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current US-Secret Clearance
OFP build environment
Willing to learn new technologies, coordinate and train these new technologies
Agile/Scrum experience
Artifactory
Jenkins
Bitbucket
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience)
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Relocation:
This position is located in St. Louis, MO. and relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
