Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is part of a joint initiative of Washington University School of Medicine and BJC Healthcare. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: * Under general direction, the Application Analyst I for Epic is responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying and maintaining software applications. Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, IS and other corporate departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system. Provides guidance and support to end-users to enhance the use of the Epic system. Provides solutions or resolves end-user system issues. *PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions) 1. Configures, modifies, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software. Develops thorough application knowledge within specific areas of focus. Writes and maintains system documentation. 2. Understands the workflow and business requirements and has the ability to build/modify the system to meet business specifications. 3. Provides support to end users and seeks to make improvements through process improvement and quality assurance initiatives. 4. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. 5. Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline and broadens capabilities. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * High school degree or high school equivalent certification. * Two years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in related field. * RN or other clinical area of expertise. * Applicable epic certification. * Two to five years of experience. * General knowledge of university and medical school culture and practices. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $51,293 - $66,685 annually.
