Emerging Solutions -- Software Defined Data Center Architect (CloudCenter)

World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity for a Software Defined Data Center Architect focusing on Cisco CloudCenter to grow its professional service offering. The objective of the role is to develop and support fundamentals of a professional services capability and provide top-tier escalation support for field engineers.

Service Offering Development (50%)

  • Develop and maintain reference architectures for use in customer deployments.

  • Develop and maintain standardized deployment methodologies to be leveraged by field engineers.

  • Develop and maintain documentation to guide delivery of deployment methodologies.

  • Develop and maintain training prerequisites for delivery engineers to execute defined services.

  • Develop and maintain supportability matrices as software and hardware products evolve.

  • Develop and maintain Lab environments within the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) for use in training and methodology verification.

  • Iteratively improve deployment methodologies through process streamlining and automation

Business Partnership Alignment (10%)

  • Work with business development teams to ensure alignment with business strategy and vision.

  • Align with sales teams on sales playbooks, processes, and methodologies.

  • Work with the sales governance organization (SRC) on standardized level-of-effort(LOE), statement-of-work (SOW), and pricing.

  • Work with the professional services organization to ensure alignment with methods, strategy and vision.

  • Work with OEM's to align with vendor partnerships.

Operational Support (20%)

  • Participate in customer engagement kickoff meetings.

  • Review and certify Level-Of-Effort (LOE) and Statement-Of-Work (SOW) prior to customer engagements.

  • Provide On-Call support for field engineers during cutover/go-live schedules.

  • Provide general support for field engineers as needed.

  • Support customer-facing sales teams in the creation of level-of-effort (LOE) criteria for specific engagements.

Field Engagement (20%)

  • Participation in field engagements to verify deployment methodologies, process documentation, and reference architectures.

  • Participation in field engagements if available delivery engineer resources are exhausted.

  • Participation in custom field engagements where standardized delivery methodologies or reference architectures do not satisfy customer requirements.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent documentation skills.

  • Must have experience with visualization software (Microsoft Visio)

  • Must have a good understanding of Automation and the NetDevOps model.

  • Understand the technology interplay between various technology disciplines such as Network, Security, Data Center, Application Development and Operations.

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing core Data Center Technologies in accordance with industry best practices.

  • Must have Operational IT Experience leading large Enterprise Deployments

  • Must have experience in Cisco CloudCenter Architecture and Design principles including Application Profiles, Services, Lifecycle Actions, and Cloud Regions.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot underlying CloudCenter appliance technologies including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, RabbitMQ, and Tomcat.

  • Must understand Public, Private, & Hybrid Cloud Strategies and be able to design solutions accordingly.

  • Must have experience automated solutions using Python, Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, or similar scripting languages.

  • Must have experience making API calls using REST and/or SOAP.

  • Must have experience with Infrastructure Networking, Storage, Compute, Virtualization, Security, Monitoring, and Management technologies from an Enterprise Deployment perspective.

  • Must have experience using CM, CI/CD processes and tools.

  • Experience with System and Policy Administration on Linux and Windows platforms is desired.

  • Experience with Deployment Management Tools such as such as Puppet, Chef and Ansible is desired.

  • Practical understanding of AGILE and/or ITIL is desired.

  • Must have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to process & detail.

  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure ever evolving environment.

  • Self-starter who exudes positive energy and can rally those around them to a common goal

  • Strong executive / customer facing & presentation skills as well as having a proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Travel is required
