The Director of Procurement Technology and Analytics is part of the North American regional procurement team based in St Louis, MO. The position will report directly to the Senior Director of Procurement Capabilities and will be responsible for elevating the department’s use of technology through the development and implementation of new technology solutions aimed at increasing efficiency, empowering category managers, and improving the user experience of our internal and external partners. We are looking for somebody who has experience leading large digital transformation projects for global Procurement organizations and is eager to lead the charge on Anheuser-Busch Procurement’s own transformation.
The role will work closely with partners across the AB InBev organization, including procurement category leadership in the US and Canada, the Global Procurement Organization based in Switzerland, and the US & Canadian Solutions (IT) teams.
Serve as the primary Procurement liaison to the Solutions & Global Procurement organizations to ensure current and future Procurement technology solutions (i.e. Ariba, Anaplan, SAP, etc.) are effectively meeting business requirements
Be responsible for the design and implementation of key technology projects, notably the SAP Ariba Source-to-Pay system redesign and SAP 4Hana roll-out.
Coordinate with internal Procurement partners to identify new use cases for automation (robotic process automation, Chatbots, AI, etc.), then be responsible for the development and implementation of these new solutions
Be responsible for the redesign, roll-out, and upkeep of a new internal Procurement website and knowledge management platform(s)
Build out the use of automated reporting systems (i.e. Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) to improve visibility into financial, operational, and compliance metrics (i.e. budget variances, on-time delivery, etc.)
Work in conjunction with IT/Solutions to develop the Procurement technology long-term strategy (3YP), identifying existing capabilities gaps and seeking out internal or third party solutions to address them.
Work with Procurement Category teams to build financial business cases supporting the adoption of new technologies, then work with Solutions & Finance to secure CAPEX and OPEX funding as part of the annual budgeting cycle (1YP).
Lead continuous improvement/business process optimization efforts for the department, using lean/six sigma principles to identify and correct gaps or non-value added business processes
Develop and implement a tracking & monitoring (T&M) routine to increase visibility into the Anheuser-Busch online e-Auction platform, including tracking of education utilization, savings, and overall effectiveness
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Strong analytical and Project Management skills, particularly as it pertains to technology
Procurement knowledge and basic understanding of source-to-pay processes across different categories
Experience in lean/six sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred)
Ability to communicate efficiently to senior leadership by conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner
Ability to establish and develop collaborative working relationships across functions and geographies
Previous experience in Procurement or IT/Solutions highly desirable
Experience designing and implementing new Source-to-Pay solutions, particularly SAP Ariba
Data mining and data preparation experience utilizing tools such as SAP, Anaplan, Ariba, Power BI, sophisticated MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and others
Previous experience in FMCG/CPG industry
Experience in being part of or leading global or geographically dispersed teams
