Job Description

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Planning and Automation, the Director of IT Service Management will be responsible for defining a range solutions and services to enable enterprise customers to achieve established objectives, promote quality, and drive business value in compliance with internal and external policies and procedures. Works closely with appropriate IT governing bodies and other IT leaders to ensure high quality service deliver and ongoing support. This leader partners with operational leaders within and beyond IT to identify, assess, and prioritize meaningful opportunities to modify processes and procedures through data-driven insights that link people, processes, and technologies to achieve that our agreed upon outcomes. Works with the various IT Product Engineering and infrastructure teams to redefine existing solutions with a more integrated, innovative and automated perspective. Designs, executes and delivers on strategies and projects to enable new capabilities that deliver improved business outcomes through increased transparency and quality. The candidate should have a strong ITIL Foundations, LEAN and Agile background with a proven track record of driving improvements in enterprise quality of service.

The candidate should also be a strong communicator with the ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, the technical capabilities and economic benefits of differing compute architectures and technologies to enterprise Sr. Directors, VPs and CIO. The candidate should be able to define architectural requirements and work with both product engineering and professional services teams to aid in synthesizing solutions for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily monitoring and metrics of Ascension's IT Services.

  • Directly accountable for maintaining compliance with policies/standards, and IT quality management strategy.

  • Oversees and ensures technology solutions (including third party applications and SaaS) meet Service Performance OLAs/SLAs/KPIs

  • Evaluates and consults with executive management to review of IT Service Management services’ performance to ensure capacity meets business needs

  • Lead Incident, Problem Management and Change Management practices to track and remediate reoccurring issues and overall product health improvement.

  • Proactively lead the metrics and insights that drive Availability and Reliability.

  • Education of AIS Associates and Senior leaders of the scope of the challenge & opportunity, and assessment of internal political/cultural/skills challenges.

  • Develop, lead and inspire the team. Be a magnet for talent and accelerate the hiring of strong contributors to the team. Solidify succession plans and enhance management capabilities to meet strategic and operating objectives of the company.

  • Be an exceptional leader and change agent. This position will collaborate across the organization and help bring disparate teams together into a more cohesive unit.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience and two years of leadership experience required.
