Your Role and Responsibilities
Work location: Radford, VA (candidates must be local/willing to relocate)
The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.
This position is for a Senior Desktop Support Analyst for a mixed and growing environment of Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019, and Linux. This position will work across many teams and high-level managers in the organization to design, lead, manage, maintain and track assets, deploy, implement, troubleshoot, and support the workforce environment.
As a Desktop Support Administrator your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Requires on-site support as necessary to ensure all desktop capabilities are available to over 200 users.
Will require implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software, as well as developing local operating procedures, processes, and policies.
Need to be adept at identifying and monitoring the ongoing operation of the Windows 10 environment. This includes identify problems and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requires maintaining 100% accountability of Desktop related assets via inventory control and asset management.
This work location for this role is at the client site in Radford, VA. Candidates must be clearable to DoD Secret clearance. An interim DOD Secret clearance or higher level clearance is required to begin work on Day 1.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 5 years' experience in supporting desktops and laptops hardware as well as Windows 10, Microsoft Office applications, and Server 2016/2019.
High amount of knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) are required.
Base level of knowledge for Citrix XenDesktop (RemotePC)
Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (on Day 1)
