As a Design Strategist, you are passionate about simplifying the complex into compelling visual solutions. You are known for your attention to detail, efficient execution, and educating current and new customers on the importance of design as a crucial aspect of their mission.
You love collaborating with storytellers from all backgrounds to visually communicate their mission and product offering, and you are eager to expand your skillset and grow the team.
You will work directly with clients and fellow teammates to develop and deliver visual concepts, including branding, communication products and user interfaces. You will partner cross functionally to assess and understand customer needs. Your work will maintain and elevate the client’s brand aesthetic across all touch-points, and you will review all creative within the team to confirm accuracy and consistency, ensuring graphics and visual elements support a strong, focused brand vision.
As a Design Strategist in our National Security Segment, you will work with client-facing consulting teams to help produce compelling visuals and user experiences for projects big and small. Your projects will vary with client needs and could include user experience research, user interface design and stand-alone creative pieces.
Full or part-time options available. Location options include Denver, CO, St. Louis, MO, or DC Metro Area (Springfield, VA).
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
Bachelor or master’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, human computer interaction, or related field.
4 to 10 years of experience in graphic design, UX research, visual display, branding, infographics, and other related areas within an in-house or customer setting
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team of strategists, researchers and consultants
Strong communication skills and the ability to be a thought leader among clients and fellow teammates
Passion for evangelizing user-centered design practices
A strong portfolio showcasing strengths in typography, design systems, visual storytelling, presentation design, and a refined finesse across digital and print channels
Proficiency in Adobe CC and other design tools. Experience with agile software management tools a plus.
