Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results;
Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions;
Interact with sales, marketing, and customer to understand demand forecast drivers;
Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool;
Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs; and
Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with Supply Planning
- Use the JDA demand-planning processes & systems to create the best statistical forecast possible
Determine and communicate forecast confidence, including risks and opportunities, to the supply planners.
Develop, monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to business unit and Inventory Planner and Supply Planner, while driving continuous improvement
Measure, analyze, and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
Cross-functional Process Development
2 years of experience with JDA Demand Planning strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience with an advanced planning, system demand planning solution required, e.g. SAP APO, Oracle , Logility, Demand Solutions, SAS, Kinaxis
Information seeking/data gathering
Preferably located in St. Louis market area.
