  • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results;

  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions;

  • Interact with sales, marketing, and customer to understand demand forecast drivers;

  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool;

  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs; and

  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with Supply Planning


Systems Expert

  • Use the JDA demand-planning processes & systems to create the best statistical forecast possible


  • Determine and communicate forecast confidence, including risks and opportunities, to the supply planners.

  • Develop, monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to business unit and Inventory Planner and Supply Planner, while driving continuous improvement

  • Measure, analyze, and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).

Process Improver

  • Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.

  • Cross-functional Process Development


  • 2 years of experience with JDA Demand Planning strongly preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with an advanced planning, system demand planning solution required, e.g. SAP APO, Oracle , Logility, Demand Solutions, SAS, Kinaxis
