The Database Administrator (DBA) position is an excellent opportunity for an individual to expand their database administration knowledge and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance and operational support of our entire portfolio of databases. They will maintain reliability, stability and data integrity of the system, provide support in the administration, backup, integrity and security of various SQL databases. They will further be responsible for database tasks such as software upgrades and troubleshooting as well as continually assess, improve, and optimize our current database environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
Demonstrated team player who works well in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities, demands and timelines
Extensive analytical and innovative problem solving skills and a strong attention to detail
Excellent customer support skills
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including other teams
Understanding of relational database concepts
Experience using git source control
Experience writing complex T-SQL 2012 and above
Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Helpful experience includes:
Using Tableau, SSRS or SSIS
Working in a virtual server environment
Using PowerShell
Using Red-Gate tools for SQL Server and SQL Source Control
This position occasionally requires support outside of normal working hours and that the team member become part of the 24x7 on-call rotation.
