Job Description

IBM’s Watson Health, Social Programs Management and Curam Solutions searching for a Senior Business Analyst/Consultant with expertise in Social Services for government/state programs.

As a Business Analyst/Consultant in the Watson Health Curam team, you will join an experienced team working with public sector customers to meet business objectives and project implementations while solving complex problems and adopting changing standards. You will learn the Curam software product and aspects of customizing & implementing the solution and act as a domain guide and resource.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather and/or define requirements, often through interviews and facilitating meetings with client partners and authorities

  • Provide information on the data model and explain entities and attributes in the model and the relationships between them.

  • Lead fit/gap sessions that map requirements to standard features and functions.

  • Recommend and advise on application/functional extensions, as necessary, to client solution requirements.

  • Serve as a liaison between technical staff and client domain authorities when the Curam technical team develops extensions.

  • Develop functional designs associated with the extensions.

  • Configure the Curam Business Application Suite (CBAS) to meet client requirements.

  • Plan and execute tests to verify the solution is properly configured and extended to meet requirements.

  • Build positive working relationships and trust with fellow employees, partners and client staff and promote confidence in IBM's technical credibility in proposed solutions.

You will possess...

  • Consistent record of effective presentation delivery and written communications

  • Social Services program experience with Government/public sector

  • Demonstrated experience leading Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions

  • Screen design and story-boarding.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Business IT analyst/consulting role

  • at least 3 years of Social Service enterprise Management experience in public sector/government and core functionality or associated business processes of Human services programs - such as Medicaid (Non-MAGI), long term care, welfare, food stamp, TANF, SNAP, juvenile justice, income support, child services etc

  • knowledge of Curam software product and solutions

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 1 year in Curam software product and services work

  • at least 4 years of experience in Social service enterprise management in public sector/government and core functionality or associated business processes of Human services programs, such as Medicaid (Non-Magi), long term care, welfare, food stamp, TANF, SNAP, juvenile justice, income support, child services, etc

  • At least 1-year experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) packaged software (ie: products from SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Seibel, Lawson, CGI, etc.)

  • Experience in a consulting related role for a large services/consulting company (ie: Deloitte, Accenture, etc)
