We have an exciting career opportunity as a Business Analyst in Monsanto’s Corporate Services (Facilities/Business Services) Organization. This role will identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems. Solutions often include a software-systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development. This role will allow the successful candidate to champion each effort from initiation through implementation.

This role works with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs by the following means:

  • Clearly articulates and documents business requirements

  • Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands

  • Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions

  • Obtains key inputs from enterprise architecture teams and identifies solution interdependencies

  • Engages with knowledge workers to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing solutions

  • Proactively resolves business issues

  • Participates in negotiating contracts, manages relationships, and monitors vendor performance against SLAs / expected deliverables

  • Track record of delivering results when work with multiple functional groups across the organization with differing priorities.

  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (or Software)


Required Talents, Skills, Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience is required

  • Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and Project Management components required

  • Experience with SMP (SAP Mobility Platform formerly known as Syclo) is an asset (but not required)

  • SAP Business Objects - Experience with BI launch pad reports is highly desired

  • Terra-data experience is highly desired

  • Ability to create Process Mapping

  • High level of problem solving and technical writing skills

  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts

  • Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis

  • Ability to create business case development and presentation

  • Can exercise Situational / team leadership

  • Excels at Project Management / Program Management

  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Required Customer/ Client Relationship management experience

  • Ability to conduct GAP Analysis

  • Demonstrated analytical skills
