BUNZL Business Analyst (SCR) in St. Louis, Missouri

The Business Analyst for Supply Chain Resources will conduct full life cycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design including assisting in developing or implementing systems to capture business operation information. The BA will develop ad hoc and ongoing analysis and reporting capabilities using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

This position will be based in the St. Louis Market.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and work with development to correct code problems

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

  • Process implementation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analysis

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Cognos, PowerBI, etc.) and databases (SQL etc.) is a plus

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, Access, Minitab, SPSS, etc.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience working with unstructured data is not a requirement but is a plus

  • Experience in supply chain operations a plus

  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of shared information and/or assignments

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines
