IBM Associate Partner - Data Security Strategist in St Louis, Missouri
The Data Security Associate Partner role will be responsible for driving the full life cycle and delivery of projects involving Data Security technologies and developing programs for IBM clients throughout North America. The candidate must have a desire to have impact within IBM in terms of growing and developing junior staff and drive a high standard of quality in maturing our Data Security offerings and delivering to clients. The candidate should be knowledgeable about the Data Security concepts around data loss prevention (DLP), tokenization and encryption, database activity monitoring, Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB) and be able to convey security offering capabilities during pursuits. Candidate should have demonstrated experience and expertise delivering and leading teams of consultants on projects; participating in scoping and capturing pursuits; developing marketing materials highlighting service offerings; managing budgets; and ideally have hands on technical implementation experience. Should have experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions, and experience working with Security practitioners.
Marketing and Sales:
Present Data Security offerings and points of view to clients in sales calls and present at conferences.
Work with clients to define requirements and subsequently design solutions to meet client needs.
Lead efforts to develop solutions and proposals for potential Data Security deals and capture a minimum of $6M sales annually.
Provide demonstration of IBM credentials in the Data Security domain.
Help establish demonstrated client relationships in key accounts to help progress the Data Security Services portfolio and cross-sell into other security competencies.
Will have experience in developing strategic plans, implementing Data Security technologies, and establishing steady-state programs.
Experience leading projects between $500k-$5M+ with teams of 3-20 staff.
Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Encryption and/or Datamasking, Database Activity Monitoring, and CASB technologies for clients to help address risk and to enhance our clients’ security posture.
Will have the ability to architect solutions for customers, create work breakdown structures for assessment and implementation projects.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in client communications - written/verbal, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must also have proven organizational/multi-tasking skills.
Contribute content and advice to the offering development process.
Help shape the emerging model of the Data Security practice.
Drive the successful execution of solution design and proposal development to enable North America sales teams while managing IBM risk.
Present to clients solutions design approaches and proposals.
Willingness to travel 50-90%, depending on location and various client requirements. Must be located in a major US city and near a major airport.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
12+ years experience working with consulting and systems integration methods
8+ years experience working in projects related to data security
8+ years experience managing large-scale technology deployment projects
5+ years experience in designing and implementing data security
Basic knowledge in security industry regulations/standards (Payment Card Industry (PCI DSS), HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27002,NIST, Cobit)
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
10+ years of management consulting experience
3+ years of implementation experience with Guardium and Imperva Database Activity Monitoring
5+ years of implementation experience with leading Data Loss Prevention technology such as Symantec, Forcepoint, Digital Guardian, Intel/McAfee
3+ years of implementation experience with encryption such as Voltage, Vormetric, SecureCircle
Basic knowledge in and experience in database security (Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, DB2)
Certified in CISSP or equivalent certification
MBA or Masters Degree in a related field
