KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Enterprise Data Architecture & Strategy to join our KPMG Technology organization.


  • Contribute to planning and lead execution of establishing a roadmap and vision for information delivery and management; including the enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management and data management

  • Develop the vision around design and management of data as it pertains to the business strategy and establish processes for governing the identification, collection and use of corporate metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity

  • Lead data architects and data engineers to architect and deliver the solutions that fulfill the business information needs and align with the information vision and strategy

  • Apply business strategy while driving technology strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure that the architecture can scale and evolve accordingly

  • Develop and maintain inventory of the enterprise information assets, become steward of enterprise metadata architecture & standards, data lifecycle management including data quality, data integration, and data security technologies

  • Provide input in enterprise data strategy, identify technical solutions and capability gaps and provide data management industry insight and guidance


  • Minimum of eight years of experience in enterprise data architecture, including data modeling, metadata management, master-data management, data quality and data integration

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a financial services organization, including at least three years in a senior management role

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Strong knowledge in industry leading metadata management, master data management, data quality and data protection technologies and practices, including a solid familiarity of business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and extensive experience with data quality, data management, data security, data governance

  • Extensive experience with data modelling/ontology/taxonomy/metadata, specifically in designing logical models/ontologies/data dictionaries from both business requirements and reverse-engineering; knowledge of big data architecture and cloud technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases, AWS, Azure is preferred

  • Experience with two or more vendors in any of the following areas including; Informatica, SQL Server, Oracle 11g, MySQL, SQL Data Warehouse Appliance, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, Greenplum, Vertica, Teradata, Aster Data, SAP HANA, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, R, Oracle Endeca, Oracle OBIEE, SAP Business Objects, SAS and other Analytics Vendors with BI components
