Cigna Application Development Advisor in St. Louis, Missouri

*Clinical Applications Support – Application Development Advisor     *

This role will be responsible for working on a combined production support and application development team within a dynamic and fast paced environment supporting primarily our MHK (MedHOK) application. The individual in this role should have a varied background and can develop new user facing reports, as well as modifying existing reports based on defined requirements using SSRS. Some application support functions will also be included. 

*Key Responsibilities:  *   

  • Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Application Development assignments/projects 

  • Works closely with client andITmanagement staff to identify application development solutions

  • Collaborates closely with development team members to design and codenew or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/orintegratepurchased solutions   

  • Documents, tests, implements and provides ongoing support for reports and vendor licensed applications 

  • Exercises considerable creativity, foresight and judgment in conceiving, planning and delivering initiatives 

  • Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders 

  • Overseesproduction deployments and provide system checkout once deployment is complete 

  • Focuses on providing thought leadership within Application Development but works on projects, which requirebroader businessunderstanding

  • Performsoccasional off hours/on call work  

Requir ed Experience / Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled in SSRS 

  • SSIS Experience 

  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology 

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving abilities  

  • Solid verbal and written communication with a focus on delivering superior customer service to all internal and external organizational levels  

  • Highly responsive and organized individual, who can quickly jump on issues as they arise  

  • Prior Healthcare Technology experience 

      

Desire d Experience / Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Medicare and/or Medicaid industries  

  • Experience with MHK, Service Now, SharePoint, TFS, Jiraand MSSuite
