O'Reilly Automotive Stores, Inc Transportation Systems Manager in SPRINGFIELD, Missouri

The Transportation Systems Manager is responsible for system development and support for the management of the Ozark DOT and City Counter fleet. Assist each DC Transportation Department to develop systems to insure efficient and effective store deliveries.

Essential job functions

  • Support and assist with developing systems to improve DC to Store assignments, new and existing.

  • Work with Director of Transportation to ensure that trucks are fueling at optimal locations in order to ensure lowest overall operating cost of fleet.

  • Using PeopleNet data to aid in the development of DOT Operational score card and incentive programs.

  • Work with Director of Transportation to develop and maintain system driven MPG goals.

  • Develop systems to effectively manage City Counter routes and equipment.

  • Develop trend reports for managing Driver Incentive Program.

  • Review Transportation Department to help support automating processes and continued improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience.

  • At least 3-5 years' experience in Database Administration.

  • At least 2 years' experience in Logistics related field.

  • At least 2 years' experience using route optimization software.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.

  • Must have excellent verbal, written, listening and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively among all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights/weekends.

  • Must work well in a team environment.

  • Must be able to learn independently.

  • +4 years' experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and VBA.

  • Advanced SQL database management and maintenance skills.

  • Be adaptable to learn new software programs as required to maximize fleet usage.
