O'Reilly Automotive Stores, Inc PC Support Technician II in SPRINGFIELD, Missouri

A PC Support Technician II's primary responsibility is to be there when team members need help. Often taking on more duties and advanced tasks compared to a tech I. As such, the candidate must have a strong understanding of analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as soft skills to work with end users.

Essential Job Functions

  • Incident response and Request fulfillment role

  • Troubleshoot issues with end users to resolve tickets escalated from level I support

  • Work with other departmental TM's to resolve issues that cannot be resolved over the phone

  • Become proficient using asset management software

  • Learn and become fluent in various software packages used by the company

  • Leads projects

  • Create documentation which includes basic knowledge base articles

Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of Windows Operating systems

  • Strong knowledge of software suites, such as Microsoft Office

  • Soft skills for working with people of different backgrounds and skillsets

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Desire to be an active member of a phenomenal team

  • Good organizational skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical support role
