Job Description

Are you a Network Engineer with a passion for Cloud based Solutions? The Gladiator Network Service team is looking for a Network Engineer to join our hosted solutions group. Gladiator is known for providing all its Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network, system and cloud technologies as well as an excellent customer experience. Travel is up to 5% to attend additional training and conferences.You will work with a team of 14Engineers that bring various levels of expertise and services to our customer base. You will need to be able to interface with all levels of engineers and provide technical analysis, extensive troubleshooting abilities, and well-rounded project management skills to ensure customer needs are adequality addressed.

The technical environment you will support is Windows server based: utilize VMware / Cloud Solutions / Horizon View. Software experience required will focus on Microsoft Windows based servers and workstations as well as Microsoft Office, Adobe, Java, Internet Explorer and various 3rd party browsers.You will be working with enterprise level vulnerability scanners such as Tenable Nessus scanner, Retina Network Security Scanner, Qualys Vulnerability Management, Beyond Trust Retina Scanner or other enterprise level vulnerability scanners.

You will work with system / server hardening using enterprise level patch management solutions such as Solarwinds N-able, Ivanti Lumension, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Kaseya VSA Patch Management, Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or other enterprise level patch management solutions is essential. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 18 months experience in troubleshooting technical issues (desktop and or systems support).

  • Must have experience in providing internal and or external customer service / support with technical emphasis.

  • Must have experience working in a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or higher environment.

  • Must have experience working in a Microsoft Windows 7 or higher environment.

  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday 9 AM – 6 PM CST.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cloud based solutions.

  • Associates degree.

  • Experience in configuration, implementation and support with any of the following that are listed:End User Computing Technologies that include Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), VMware Horizon View or Citrix XenDesktop or any other Remote Presentation technologies.

  • Applicable technical certification(s) preferred (A+, Network+, MCSE, MCITP, VMWARE VCP).

  • Operations experience within a Manage Service Support Product model.

  • Experience within JHA banking software & support.

  • Experience in configuration, implementation and support with ESX/ESXi host servers.

  • Experience working with any enterprise level patch management solutions such as Solarwinds N-able, Ivanti Lumension, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Kaseya VSA Patch Management, Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or other enterprise level patch management solutions is essential.

  • Experience working with any enterprise level vulnerability scanners such as Tenable Nessus scanner, Retina Network Security Scanner, Qualys Vulnerability Management, Beyond Trust Retina Scanner or other enterprise level vulnerability scanners is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Installs current network operating system on new or existing devices and/or installs communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls.

  • Installs software on networking devices.

  • Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology.

  • Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.

  • Assists with the preparation of network assessments and certifications.

  • Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to insure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
