Great Southern Bank Business Support Specialist I in Springfield, Missouri

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsible for working closely with Business Services while providing support for business customers as it relates to Treasury Management services. This position requires a good working knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility in order to assist with preparing internal and external correspondence, preparing and compiling various reports, maintaining data files and other records, and working on various special reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Works closely with the Business Services Relationship Managers, providing high quality customer service and support to maximize growth and retain relationships with business customers. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

  2. Maintains a strong working knowledge of departmental systems and ensures all daily operating responsibilities are completed according to established policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to new account opening, maintenance to existing accounts, account analysis billing, banking center cash advance reconciliation, implementation and maintenance to the Treasury Management Services, review of daily Synergy reports, and remittance to Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) and Real Estate Trust governing bodies. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.

  3. Responds to inquires in person, email, and/or phone according to established procedures and policies as well as in an efficient, timely, and professional manner. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.

  4. Prepares forms, reports, and a wide variety of word processing tasks, including external and internal correspondence. Gathers data and performs routine calculations to assist in the preparation of a wide variety of spreadsheet tasks including administrative reports, summaries, tables, statements, etc. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

  5. Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).

  6. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience
