The Boeing Company is seeking a passionate Versatile Technologist who loves to utilize DevOps tools to implement automation for critical enterprise systems. The Product Systems Production Operations team needs a strong candidate to work on implementing DevOps in their Tools & Platform Transformation Organization. You will seek out opportunities for automation and optimization to design and deliver the best product. You will be responsible for building out the next generation pipeline architecture in support of continuous integration, continuous deployment and delivery, and implementing DevOps Toolchain in a world-class environment. Boeing has launched the Digital Transformation Environment (DTE) to be a digital accelerator focused on designing and implementing in-house software solutions and differentiating capabilities to help Boeing compete in our second century. Our focus is on innovative solutions implementing cutting-edge agile software development methodologies and user-centric design. This is a collaborative role that requires being able to work with internal users and colleagues on co-located integrated product teams as well as globally dispersed teammates. A successful candidate will help mature our DevOps tool stack and contribute to our methodology and software development discipline. This role is focused on leading Digital Transformation efforts across the systems needed including application development/rewrites, refactoring, and DevOps tool chain configuration and implementation.
*Responsibilities: * * Work in a DevOps team tasked with designing solutions and implementing DevOps Toolchain across systems that support aircraft manufacturing * Evangelize the principles of DTE’s methodologies, processes, tools, and culture to drive transformational change * Apply extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts to deliver projects iteratively * Create, own, and continuously improve strategic and tactical plans for tool chain implementation * Ensure that all efforts are carried out with attention to detail, including documenting processes, procedures and best practices * Work with internal users, and interact with developers, to deliver products that delight end users * Customer focused * Calm personality; able to provide critical analysis under pressure. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Practice and share design and deployment in a pairing model * Collaborate with the business to help define their product strategy and vision Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
