POSITION SUMMARY The Sr. Technical Writer is responsible for gathering, authoring and publishing clear, concise and high-quality content for a variety of audiences in support of multiple software platforms. This position will work closely with various business areas and related groups, business owners and subject matter experts SMEs to create standard operating procedures SOPs and other types of documents utilizing various tools and methodologies, as requested. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Use multiple tools and methodologies to produce end-user documentation for a variety of audiences. * Participate in a dynamic authoring environment designed around quality, continuous improvement and fast-paced delivery. * Collaborate across functional business areas on large-scale projects in the development of end-user documentation that accurately and effectively reflects the system/process. * Provide quality assurance support for the document development process. * Lead technical support for publishing, archiving, creating new Flare system components. * Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing or related field preferred; or 8-11 years relevant work experience * Minimum of 3-5 years of technical writing experience preferred. * Excellent written, organizational and analytical skills. * Advanced knowledge of writing and editing best practices and use of style guides. * Advanced knowledge of Information Mapping a plus. * Intermediate in developing online help and other forms of user assistance using MadCap Flare or other related CMS tool required. * Intermediate in developing creative content using Storyline, Infographics, or other related e-learning/e-communication tool required. * Advanced interviewing and listening skills to gather necessary content from multiple resources. * Team player, able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and willing to contribute when help is needed outside of primary job responsibilities. * Excellent communication skills, curiosity and attention to detail are required. * Ability to learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions with minimal supervision. * Organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize and work under time constraints and meet project deadlines. * Creative thinker with innovative spirit. Ability to look for new and better ways to develop content/perform tasks. Effective execution on new methods, when appropriate. * Familiarity with HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript experience a plus. * Project management experience required.
