POSITION SUMMARY The Sr. Mgr. Vendor/Asset Management Specialist primary function/purpose of is to lead/inspire a team of 5-7 individuals providing asset management and support services to Technology Infrastructure and Operations team. Along with leadership responsibilities, individual will be day-to-day primary contact for assigned technology asset group/vendor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Manage day-to-day activities of 5-7 individuals. Provide leadership direction, coaching and mentoring. * Create and maintain a strong best practice framework and governance associated with asset management services and becoming a trusted advisor of both internal users and supplier representatives. * Responsible for researching software products and provide pricing and availability to ensure smooth completion of new contracts. * Utilizing Flexera, run software usage reports to monitor and track all software requests and purchases to maintain compliance for organization. Prather * Drive high levels of support and engagement with Technology leadership through regular evaluations of key asset metrics, contract compliance reporting, etc. Develop actions to improve any deficient areas * Partner with procurement area as a liaison with technology for contract negotiations, procurement of hardware and software. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to procurement, finance or vendor related issues around hardware and software assets/contracts. * Develop and distribute metric reports that characterize the footprint of hardware and software assets for technology organization. Develop actions to improve any deficient areas. QUALIFICATIONS * 8 -12 years experience with Bachelor s Degree; 6 -10 years of experience Master s degree; 14 -18 years of experience with no Bachelor's degree. * Proficiency in basic computer use and applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office applications * Understanding of fundamentals of asset management, financial reporting and analytics; Understanding of information technology and the services industry; Excellent written and presentation skills ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT Do you enjoy making things work seamlessly and figuring out ways to improve functionality?
