The Boeing Company Software Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri

The Health Management Integration Systems team, part of Government Health Management Systems in the Boeing Global Services Digital Aviation & Analytics organization, is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer. As an engineer you will be part of an agile team supporting the development of the F-15 Qatar maintenance debrief solution. You will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development team, Program Managers, and other internal and external stakeholders to meet requirements of the Qatar customer.

Your responsibilities Include:

  • Work in agile team environment to develop, test and deploy software

  • Write clean, scalable code using C# .NET

  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code

  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of product

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

  • Perform code reviews

  • Integrate complex software components into a fully functional capability

  • Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure product backlog items are complete

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) * Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • 5 years of specific C# development experience with a good knowledge of its ecosystems

  • 3 years of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (examples: PostgreSQL, SQLite, Oracle or SQL Server, MongoDB)

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

  • User interface development using XAML

  • Understand various design and architectural design patterns and principles behind a scalable application Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • 1 years of experience with Wix, and software configuration management systems

  • Experience with Web Services and Windows Forms

  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture and ability to design, develop and implement scalable, elastic microservice based platforms

  • Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)

  • Experience with Universal Windows Platform (UWP)

  • Experience with RESTful API’s using .NET Core or ASP.NET MVC

  • Experience working in an Agile/iterative development and design process

  • Knowledge with hardware and network setup is a plus

  • Experience with international customers

  • Willingness to adapt and evolve to technology changes
