Wealth and Investment Management Technology is seeking an experienced application developer with strong background in Java and web service development. This position will be part of a progressive web service development team building services in a Service Oriented Architecture for use by internal and customer facing applications. In this role you will lead projects, including the assignment of tasks, and provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff as wells as design, develop, and support RESTful web services and Java applications for the Wealth and Trust businesses. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, good communication skills, possess good problem solving skills, and work well in a team.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing leadership and technical direction to less experienced staff
Developing enterprise web services for Wealth and Trust business domains
Adhering to Software Development Lifecycle policies and procedures
Understanding the business requirements, goals, and objectives and building solutions that meet the business need
Create Unit and Functional automated tests
Improving processes to make them simpler, faster, and more secure
Staying current on new technology
Provide on-call 24x7 third level production support
Required Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
5+ years of Java experience
5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
5+ years of relational database experience
3+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
3+ years of Agile experience
2+ years of financial industry experience
1+ year of trust experience
1+ year of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) experience
Desired Qualifications
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Oracle experience
MS SQL server experience
2+ years of experience with continuous integration development technologies such as IBM Udeploy, (UrbanCode Deploy), Jenkins, etc.
Brokerage or wealth management experience
Git or GitHub experience
Experience with automation, regression, and performance testing
Other Desired Qualifications
- Swagger, Open API, or RAML specification experience
Job Expectations
Ability to work additional hours as needed
Ability to work on call as assigned
Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
