The Boeing Company Software Engineer - Early Career in Saint Louis, Missouri

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join The Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) in St. Louis, MO. In the VWC, you will be joining a core team of software developers working to enhance multiple simulation applications and operator interfaces. The selected candidate’s primary responsibility will be supporting the organization as a Junior Software Engineer working on one of our contracted efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team of software engineers in developing and integrating modeling and simulation capabilities in support of the war fighter.

  • Assist DoD operators during event weeks in the running of our tools to accomplish their mission.

  • Work with the greater Virtual Warfare Center software team to ensure collaboration of software changes between environments.

    This position requires an active Current Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • Experience with C

  • Experience with Cross Platform Development (Windows/Linux)

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with OITL experimentation

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working autonomously in closed areas with little to no supervision

  • Experience working with distributed teams

  • Technical Environment: C , Java, CMake, git, Linux and Windows platforms, Agile SDLC methodology
