As a Software Architect on this team you will work with the Vehicle Health Management Solutions Chief Software Architect to create a common technical vision, make high-level design choices and develop software implementation guidelines to ensure that the software developed will meet functional requirements and design constraints. The software we develop will monitor and assess aircraft fault data to provide flight deck and maintenance personnel with appropriate information for assessing the health of the aircraft. There will be both on-board (semi-real-time to real-time) and off-board functionality to this software. Prior experience in developing software architectures in a complex system is critical to success in this role.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post-start)
Experience developing Large scale, complex software systems
Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Developing software architectures in a complex system
Experience developing software in an agile environment
Hands on experience developing software in C and/or Java
Working with embedded, real-time software
Experience working with web-based applications deployed in the cloud
Willingness to work with a geographically dispersed team
Typical Education and Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
