Sensor and Imaging Engineer

We are seeking candidates to assist in sensor system development and integration for a wide range of platforms from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to large ground vehicles. To support this effort the candidate will apply a broad base of analysis, electrical system design, and sensor domain knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Activities may include electromechanical system design and test; sensor evaluation and integration; programming for interfacing with hardware; and conducting field trials of system prototypes. A successful candidate will collaborate with experts in fields ranging from mechanical design to imaging science to prototype and deliver products that support broader business R&D activities. A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science.

Experience with electromechanical system design.

Experience programming with C/C++ or another programming language.

Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with a wide range of skill sets.

Willingness to learn new tools and technologies and ability to come up to speed quickly.

Qualifications:

Master?s degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science OR a bachelor?s degree in one of these fields with two year?s relevant experience.

Experience prototyping imaging systems and platforms, especially UAVs.- Familiarity with image processing and other signal processing techniques.

Familiarity with GIS data and relevant tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).

Familiarity with sensor system development and/or advanced imaging systems, e.g. infrared, hyperspectral.

Current FAA Part 107 remote pilot license or willingness to obtain.

Familiarity with CAD design software, e.g., SOLIDWORKS.

4-6 Years of Experience Post-Undergraduate required
