The Boeing Company Mid-Level Network Designer in Saint Louis, Missouri
Network design for the Boeing production Internet facing perimeters. Duties will include working with the Global Access Design (GAD) team and partner with Information Security to life-cycle manage the long-term vision for strategic enhancements to network services in the perimeter.
Candidate will be responsible for working with a team to develop and implement the detailed design for the security perimeters in the Boeing strategic data centers and Global Service Centers.
Work with customers, business partners, and suppliers to lead and coordinate high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects. The network designer will analyze requirements, creating design package, submit for peer review, obtain approval, schedule outage, and coordinate the implementation. Requirements include working with Information Security teams to coordinate change activity.
Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting complex problems to meet service restoration and network availability and reliability objectives.
Other duties include supporting the perimeter migrations. The Internet facing perimeter is a critical part of the Boeing infrastructure to provide Internet access, partner connections, and protecting the infrastructure both domestically and internationally.
Candidate must ensure network compliance and standards are adhered too.

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
