Kforce IT Helpdesk Administrator in Saint Louis, Missouri

Kforce has a client seeking an IT Helpdesk Administrator in Saint Louis, Missouri (MO).Summary:The Help Desk Administrator will provide maintenance and management of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. They will be responsible for administration and internal support of Meridian Enterprises PCs, printers, IP telephones, and required desktop applications. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction

  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received and incidents through the IT Help Desk SysAid ticketing system

  • Monitor SysAid ticketing system for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on urgency/priority

  • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation

  • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk asset tracking software

  • Document internal procedures

  • Assist with onboarding of new users by deploying desktop infrastructure and required applications.

  • Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software

  • Assist with maintaining inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses

  • Report issues to the appropriate senior technical resource for escalation when required.

  • Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory

  • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology related field preferred

  • A minimum of 2 years Help Desk administration or equivalent experience in a corporate IT atmosphere required

  • Available to work evenings and weekends if/when necessary

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Technical Competencies:

  • MS Windows 7/10 Operating Systems

  • MS Office 2013 suite of applications

  • Symantec virus/end-point protection services, data backup & restoral services and procedures

  • Unix/Red Hat, Apache/Tomcat and SQL 2005 experience a plus
