Kforce Data Analyst in Saint Louis, Missouri

Kforce has a client in search of a Data Analyst in Saint Louis, Missouri (MO).Summary:This person needs to be able to pull large quantities of data and then be able to analyze/interpret/present the data is a simple usable format. They need them to be able to write SQL code for the data mining and then VBA/Macro skills to be able to repeatedly produce the same output on a consistent basis. The client is looking for someone with forecasting/statistical modeling/linear regression experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics

  • Sales or financial analysis experience within consumer products industry or optimization and forecasting in logistics planning or similar is a plus; Understanding of forecasting and causal components of consumer demand is a strong plus

  • Strong SQL programming skills; Experienced in extracting and manipulating large (hundreds of thousands of rows) datasets and spreadsheets, utilizing advanced Excel (including VBA), and object-oriented programming (Visual Basic, .NET); SAS programming skills and solid technical skills across wide variety of tools and data platforms, including forecasting software, a plus; Experienced applying statistical analyses to large datasets and summarizing/communicating using strong presentation tool skill set (e.g. PowerPoint)

  • History of successfully prioritizing and managing multiple critical projects simultaneously and completing them in a timely manner with extreme accuracy

  • Demonstrated qualities of team-orientation, aggressive self-starting, risk averseness, ownership and reputation as the subject matter expert and go to person, alignment with workplace culture and environment, helpfulness, selflessness

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to draw relevant and insightful conclusions and communicate them with professional polish
