SSM Health Compensation Analyst in Saint Louis, Missouri


Fantastic opportunity with SSM Health. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, analysis and auditing experience, resourceful in identifying root cause analysis, and familiarity with HRIS enterprise systems (Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle)


  • Assists management with new job creation and ensures appropriate documentation. Assigns pay range and recommends pay rates.

  • Performs job market analysis. Participates in salary surveys and evaluates data in order to determine compensation rates and pay grade assignments.

  • Researches and evaluates new or changing compensation practices and policies. Monitors compliance and changes in applicable laws and regulations.

  • Processes compensation changes and corrections. Maintains confidentiality in handling highly sensitive information, including compensation pay design and individual pay/benefits information.

  • Advises HR partners, recruiters, supervisors, and managers on pay decisions, policies, trends, and market-based position evaluations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience or education


  • Three years experience


  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Rare climbing.
